Movie!

This past weekend, Jean orchestrated a marathon filming of her latest creation. I took the afternoon on Friday off to get some footage with our crew out at the Maryland Renaissance Festival Fairgrounds, which the proprietors let us use so graciously. We filmed all Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and we still didn’t manage to get all the scenes…
Barry (audio god) loaned us his Mackie board and a couple of condenser microphones, which we managed to make good use of.
We finished the weekend no worse for wear except Jean’s strained ankle. She was being a bit of a heroine in one of the scenes:)
Thanks to all who came out – we still have a bit to go, but really appreciate all the support!!!

Perfect Spring Weather

This weekend was the perfect example of how spring should be. Not a cloud in the sky, mild weather and great for landscaping and gardening.
We celebrated Jean’s birthday yesterday (though it’s really today), and I made inkeeper’s pie.
Both yesterday and today we spread mulch which we picked up from our local landfill, to make pathways around the house, all in anticipation of Justin and Holly’s wedding. Check out the photos:)

Rainy Weekends

Rainy Weekends (as Pooh would say) are good for staying indoors and having fun. That’s what we did. I brewed some Double-Chocolate Stout, we hung out just the three of us, and we watched the rain come down in sheets.
After the rain, we went out walking and splashed in some puddles. I took some video on my phone (quality is kinda iffy), which you can see above (for the time being) or in the “video” category of photos…
Holly and Justin came over for dinner this evening, and we had a great time. It’s been a while since we all hung out.
